Suicide Awareness and Prevention in the Veteran Population
Presented by Nina Ketelsen, MSN, RN, CNEn

Join us at Tuesday Talks as Nina Ketelsen, MSN, RN, CNEn addresses social determinants of mental health for veterans. Discussion will include war deployment, disparities of female versus male veterans, mental health issues of the veteran population, characteristics of veterans hospitalized for suicide ideation and suicide attempt, and the Veterans Administration (VA) goals of care related to the decrease in rate of veteran suicide. She will share resources available to veterans and their families through the VA and available apps, best practices to identify at-risk individuals, and interventions that we as healthcare providers can do to destigmatize mental health issues.
