  the first Tuesday Talks of 2024 to learn about faith community nursing. 
 Faith community nursing\, a specialty recognized by the American Nursing A
 ssociation since 1998 (then Parish Nursing) uses nursing knowledge\, combi
 ned with intentional care of the spirit\, to assist members of faith commu
 nities and other faith-based organizations to maintain and/or regain whole
 ness in body\, mind\, and spirit.\n\nThis presentation will explore the nu
 ances of faith community nursing\, how beneficial it is for clergy and fai
 th community leaders\, and the role of a faith community nurse. As researc
 h supports\, spiritual care of patients results in increased positive outc
 omes. Understanding the difference between spiritual and religious is one 
 important caveat and provides the ability for nurses in all settings to ut
 ilize the skills obtained through the Foundations of Faith Community Nursi
 ng course.\n\nHow to Register\n\nRegistration is required. After registeri
 ng\, you will receive an email with your personal link to join the present
 ation on Zoom. Please plan to join the webinar a few minutes early. You mu
 st attend a minimum of 90% of the event and complete an online evaluation

 es is hosted on Zoom and welcomes nurses across Alaska. Attendance is open
  to both AaNA members and non-members.\n\nAbout AaNA’s CE Program\n\nThe
  Alaska Nurses Association is approved as a provider of nursing continuing
  professional development by Montana Nurses Association\, an accredited ap
 prover with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Co
 mmission on Accreditation.
