AaNA Board of Directors Election
Positions to be Elected
This election will fill four (4) positions on the AaNA Board of Directors:
The Greater Alaska or LPN Director position may be filled by either a) a nurse living or working at least 50% of the time outside the Municipality of Anchorage, or b) an LPN.
The Rural Director position may be filled by a nurse living or working at least 50% of the time outside the Municipality of Anchorage and the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
In the event that nominations are not forthcoming for the Greater Alaska or LPN Director position or the Rural Director position, the positions will default to any other nominee or appointee.

Terms of Office
All terms begin October 15, 2024. All positions are two-year terms ending October 14, 2026.
Eligibility
Running for a position in the AaNA Board of Directors Election is open to all AaNA members in good standing, except for Associate members. Union-represented non-members are also not eligible to run for office.
AaNA Joint Board of Directors & Labor Council Election
Positions to be Elected
This election will fill four (4) jointly-held positions on the AaNA Board of Directors and the AaNA Labor Council:
- Labor Council Chair / Labor Council Chair
- Labor Council Vice Chair / Board Vice President
- Labor Council Director / Board Director at Large (2 positions)

Terms of Office
All terms begin October 15, 2024. All positions are two-year terms ending October 14, 2026, except for the Rural Director position, which is a one-year term ending October 14, 2025.
Eligibility
Running for a position in the AaNA Joint Board of Directors & Labor Council Election is open to all AaNA union members in good standing, who have maintained membership in good standing for at least 6 months prior to September 16, 2024. Union members are members of Providence Registered Nurses (at Providence Alaska Medical Center), Ketchikan Nurses (at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center), or RNs United (at Central Peninsula Hospital & Heritage Place). Union-represented non-members are not eligible to run for office.
Nominations Requirements
All candidates must fill out and submit the appropriate Consent to Serve Form by 5:00 PM on September 16, 2024.
