Presented by Melissa Fall, DNP, APRN, CPNP AC/PC; Tara Nagel, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, SANE-P; and Marianne Ziolkowski, PNP

Join us at Tuesday Talks this month for a presentation addressing the identification and evaluation of suspected child abuse.

Our presenters will cover the role of Alaska CARES and Child Advocacy Centers, recognition of concerning clinical findings, mandated reported requirements, and forensic photo-documentation practices.

We’ll also discuss the importance of resilience and self-care for providers working with vulnerable populations.

Important: New Registration Process

Beginning this month, Tuesday Talks has a new registration and access process.

We’re excited to share that Tuesday Talks are moving to Alaska Nurses Learn, our online learning management system (LMS). With this new process, everything will now be available in one place for your convenience. Below, we’ll provide an overview of what’s changing and answer some common questions

What’s changing?
Starting this month, we’ll be using the Alaska Nurses Learn LMS as our platform for Tuesday Talks.

What can I do using the LMS?
Through the LMS, you’ll be able to register, attend Tuesday Talks live or asynchronously, complete your evaluation, and download your certificate at any time.

Do I still need to register to attend?
Yes, you’ll still register to attend. Registration will now be done through the LMS instead of through Zoom.

How do I register?
The registration link will take you to this month’s Tuesday Talks course in the LMS. Once there, click “Enroll for free” and follow the instructions to sign up. If it’s your first time using our LMS, you’ll create an account during this process.

How do I attend the event?
Sign in through the LMS to attend Tuesday Talks or use the Zoom link provided with your registration.

How will I receive my certificate?
After the webinar, return to the course in the LMS and complete the evaluation. Your certificate will become available once the evaluation is submitted.

Will my certificate be available later?
Yes. Your certificate will remain available in the LMS for future access.

Tuesday Talks is a free educational series created specifically for Alaskan nurses. Every month, we explore a unique and enriching topic with a local expert. Designed to elevate your nursing knowledge and practice, Tuesday Talks offers free contact hours to participants. The event series is hosted online and welcomes nurses across Alaska. Attendance is open to both AaNA members and non-members.
