The Families
The Reindeer Family
The Reindeer Family consists of Mom, Dad, and their 15-year-old son. Mom was diagnosed with cancer this summer and is undergoing treatment. Ongoing surgical complications have left Mom currently unable to work, and the family could use some support this holiday season.
The Snowman Family
The Snowman Family consists of Mom, Dad, three children, and two grandmothers. Mom is the sole provider for the family and caretaker for her mother, who is recovering from major surgery.
The Gingerbread Family
The Gingerbread Family consists of a nurse and her adult disabled daughter. This family has endured major medical issues recently, including surgeries, infections, and both mom and daughter being hospitalized. Mom has had to take time off work to care for them both and heal from surgery.
The Candy Cane Family
The Candy Cane Family consists of Mom and three resilient kids. Mom is a single parent who works full-time while attending graduate school. The children’s father has struggled with addiction and recently relapsed after three years of sobriety. This has been devastating for the kids and has placed a big financial and logistical burden onto Mom’s already-full plate.
The Jingle Bell Family
The Jingle Bell Family consists of a nurse who was diagnosed with colon cancer this year and has been going through chemotherapy for the past six months.
